These are my last two pictures of summer before all our sunny days had to end.
It's always so bittersweet for this mamma. I crave routine, love early mornings and look forward to my drive to and from school with the boys. We get lots of good conversation during those drives and that is something I love. But, there is something about summer that helps us all reset and allows the boys to embrace their boyhood, and that's equally valuable.
This was the first summer we weren't on the lake and I missed that... a lot. I miss my the early mornings when I can still see the moon reflecting on the water and the 'right before sun sets' kayak rides Remi loves so much. We stayed so busy traveling, that I'm not sure this is something the boys thought about, but man, summer on the lake is where it's at for me.
This summer really was summed up in one word: TRAVELING! We were all over the map and I know you're not surprised that I loved every minute. When we did have time at home, I enjoyed my bed like never before, we had lots of friend time, pool time, golf, fishing and sleeping in!

What an amazing summer! Y’all were like a band of traveling Gypsies. Talk about hitting the ground running…y’all were in it for the long haul!! As for me…I enjoyed every minute of the summer if 2023!! The pictures are amazing and the narrative you provide is the best! Brings everything to life!!
