7th Grade Basketball Comes to an End...

Remi's season has officially come to an end.

Saturday, Remi played in a 3 game tournament- losing all three games. This season has been very bittersweet, because as excited as we all were about school sports, I think there has been an underlying feeling of disappointment in the program for B Team players. I also didn't realize this at the time, but Saturday was his very last game of the season. I am proud of Remi and how he kept his attitude in check through this season. It may not have panned out exactly how we anticipated, but Remi showed up, was a good team player and was always respectful to his coach. When I think of his 7th grade season, that is what I will remember: his good attitude through it all!

Roen played at the same time on Saturday, so I sent Anne with Micah to watch Roen's game. Pops stayed with me for the day to watch Remi. Micah, Roen and Anne came back to catch Remi's last game and I am so very thankful for those that came to support my boys this weekend. I hated missing Roen's game, but knowing he had some fans in the stands was a huge comfort!

Next up, Remi will get his first taste of track and best of all, spring golf will be here before we know it!

  1. I’m sorry it was not the best experience, but so proud of Remi!! He knows he did everything that was ask of him. Sorry they had overlapping schedules….it is hard to miss a game. I’m so excited to see what Remi does in track. Track meets are long, but fun!! And super excited for the boys to enjoy Spring golf. Looks like Roen might have already been working on his tan…sitting in that sunny window seat. Sporting his sweet smile 😊. Thanks for sharing…love y’all!! 😘
