When it comes to planning a party for a bunch of teenage boys, it can get tricky real fast. I definitely don't want to take them out where they can wander away and find trouble... at least not when I am dealing with a group this big. There is really only one time a year that Remi wants all of his friends and that's on his birthday, so I do my very best to make it happen.
In the end, Remi chose to do exactly what he did last year, and that suited me just fine. Taking the boys out fishing is something they all love and it's nearly impossible for them to find trouble. Plus it requires zero efforts in keeping up with them! It truly is a win win for us all!
My little fisherman was in heaven and all smiles, all day! His boat ended up catching the most fish, and together we caught around 150 fish. Unlike last year, we skipped the giant sleepover and instead let his best twin friends stay the night. We sent the boys home with their share of cleaned and bagged fish and then he had a fun little evening out on the golf cart with his two best buds!
What a great way to celebrate 14!!! And wowza…that’s a lot of fish. Sure glad I missed out on fish cleaning duty. 😬. I’m glad they all had a fun day together and thanks again for always clicking the Kodak moments (or iPhone I guess). 😂
