The boys have had some wins, some losses, Roen has had games where he never got a bench break, Remi has had games where he hardly played, scored lots of points, scored zero points, made assists, had turnovers and everything in between.
Remi's team has had a coach switch, and that actually worked in his favor last game. He has had several games where he has had more time on the bench than the court and though it may be frustrating, he always handles it like a good sport. Last game, he was out on the court much more and has been a consistent starter on the B Team. Watching the boys play basketball is like night and day, but I do my very best to embrace the experience as a whole, knowing that no matter what they face on their teams, they are still getting some great life lessons.
I have a sweet little basketball picture of Micah at 12 yrs old and I went ahead and did a side-by-side of Roen since he is 12 now. They really are just a spitting image of each other!
I know I sound like a broken record….but thank you so much for taking time to keep this blog updated. It is like a live stream of the Davenport’s life! It truly is the next best thing to being able to watch the boys in person. Super excited for both Remi and Roen as they hit the court, giving it their all! Love all the pics, especially the one of Micah/Roen at age 12!!! It’s truly his mini me!! Love y’all😘
