This year, Micah and I spent a Saturday afternoon in downtown Grapevine to celebrate my birthday! It was a sweet little afternoon, just the two of us, strolling the streets.
We started off at the cutest little bookstore, Talking Animal Books! It had such a fun vibe and a fabulous selection of books, plus a little tea and coffee bar! I'm thinking this bookstore might need to become a birthday tradition! I sipped strawberry tea while I found a fun variety of fall reads- I could have stayed for hours, but I did my best to keep my browsing under control! For lunch, we found a seat at the Big Fish bar for drinks and seafood! I also had the excitement of stumbling upon a tea shop where I found oodles of loose leaf to get me through the fall season and when I spied an ice cream parlor, well, I just had to get a scoop of strawberry ice cream on a cake cone... the most perfect combo and way to end our birthday date outing!
Anne sent me the coziest little house slippers and a beautiful ivy, Micah made me an enchilada birthday dinner, complete with my most favorite guacamole, and to top it off, he spoiled me with a giant bag full of goodies from my favorite boutique! Just when I thought the spoiling had come to an end, he brought out one last gift, a pair of beautiful earrings, sparkly with the perfect amount of dainty dangle!
Turning 43 was wonderful in every little way!
