HOCO '25

This HOCO was a week full of all things mums, parades, pep rallies and football!

A beary sweet HOCO proposal, complete with the softest teddy bear because Elle loves stuffed animals, the sweetest little mum cookie, the Wildcat HOCO parade with my favorite boosters, watching Elle cheer in her HOCO pep rally, the boys actually participating in a dress-up day, my first go at making a HOCO bouquet, a night of dancing for Remi and Elle, and a Friday night win for both the Wildcats and Rams!

Our homecoming fell on the same Friday as Elle's, so it was double the fun! Because Remi wanted to watch her cheer, we skipped out on watching our Wildcats and visited the Ram stadium for Homecoming. Roen decided he didn't want to miss the fun, so decided to come with us! I secretly think he was scoping out some double date material.... now, a few weeks later, and he has somehow gotten a hold of Elle's best friend's phone number!

HOCO 2024...

I love Homecoming! Mums, football, dress-up days.... bring it all on!

This year was a bit crazy because it fell right around the same time as our move! Also, this is the first year since Roen was in 5th grade that I didn't get to buy a mum for a sweet little girlfriend! I couldn't talk either boy into asking anyone! AND Remi didn't go to his first high school Homecoming dance- and wasn't a bit sad about it! The booster club throws the dance for high school students, so I still got to go and see everyone dressed up! Between the parade, getting HOCO shirts sorted and passed out, the pep rally, the dance, painting hay bales, and then the big game, it was a busy busy week!!

HOCO '23...

Oh, how I love Homecoming!

The mums, the garters, dress-up days... it brings back all my favorite high school memories!

This is Roen's 3rd year in a row to have a sweet little girlfriend to swap mum and garter with, and I love every bit of it! I don't have girls to get all glittery with and I don't even have boys that are willing to participate in dress-up days, so if the only sparkly thing I get is a mum for a girl, well, I'll take it!

This year, the moms decided to paint overalls and jeans, and you know I jumped on that bandwagon from the minute I heard 'painted overalls'!  And, of course, there was no way I was missing the Homecoming pep rally, which turned into Roen and I staying for the volleyball games and then heading straight to the field for a Wildcat Win. Micah and Remi met us later up at the football game... that school spirit runs just a little bit deeper for Roen and I!

Homecoming 2021...

A few weeks ago, we had our Wildcat Homecoming!

For the first time ever, Roen had a sweet little Homecoming date! Neither of my boys are real into girls yet, so this was a big deal. The funny thing is, the girl actually asked Roen if he would go to Homecoming with her- he told her no and then never said a word to me about it. I found out from a friend, who found out from her son. Both Micah and I encouraged Roen to reconsider taking her as a friend.

In the end, he changed his mind and had his very first garter to wear.  I ended up being out of town and missing the whole evening, but I heard it was pretty darn cute! Micah took him over to her house after school on Thursday so that they could swap mum and garter and from what I hear and can see in these pictures, it was non-stop giggle!

I am super thankful for everyone who took and shared these pictures...

Homecoming 2020

Last week, was Wildcat Homecoming! Our game actually got canceled due to the other team having Covid issues, but we still had a great Spirit Week. Thankfully, we were able to reschedule our game for Thursday and finished off Homecoming with a WIN!

The boys have never really been big fans of dress up day, but they did get in on Tie Dye Day, Mustache Day, Crazy Hair Day (only Remi) and of course, Spirit Day! They were pretty ok with skipping out on Super Hero Day!
