A Visit From Anne...

This past weekend, my mom came down for a little weekend visit. The boys love when Anne comes to town. We took the boys to see Small Foot (which the boys thought was hilarious), played a little Saturday morning football, and just enjoyed some time being together!





Roen's little team won again this weekend, and Roen got his very first touchdown...

Flag Football...

The boys are smack dab in the middle of their football seasons and loving it. Roen's little 2nd/1st Grade team is undefeated. Roen finds atleast a few flags to pull every game and has even scored a 2 point conversion. Remi's team has had a harder time this season, winning only one game so far. However, I'm pretty proud of Remi because he has become pretty good at pulling flags too! Flag Football is something the boys love doing with their friends!

Punt, Pass, Kick...

On Sunday, the boys competed the annual Punt, Pass, Kick competition at school. Remi ended up getting 2nd place out of the three in his age group and Roen ended up 4th in the 5 of his age group. I think Roen was a bit disappointed he didn't get to bring home a trophy, but he never said a word about it! He was the very first one to go and with everyone watching, he got pretty embarrassed!

Flag Football...

Saturday, the boys had their very first football game! The boys are on separate teams this year, but because Remi's team was so small, Roen and another boy are playing up as well to help make the team bigger. Roen's little team won and even though Remi's team got smoked, I always love watching them play- win or loose!

I'm not sure what got into my little Roen, but he is pretty fierce about pulling those flags this year! I lost count but that boy played two games back to back and was still pulling flags by the end of the second!

Football Camp 2018...

Last week, the boys finished up the last of their summer camps with football. I love summer sports camps because it gives the boys something different and active to do and getting to do it with their friends is just an added bonus. Throughout the week, Remi scored touchdown after touchdown for his group of boys and on the very last day their were a series of competitions where Roen won the accuracy award for his group! The boys have come so far with football... the days of chasing lizards across the field are long gone!

This mamma is so ready for the Fall where I can cozy up in the stands in my Knights sweatshirt and cup of hot tea!

Football Playoffs...

Football season has officially come to an end.

This year, the boys were on different teams and both made it to the playoffs where Remi's team came out in 2nd and Roen's team tied for 3rd. Though it wasn't always easy getting to the field by 7:30 on Saturday mornings, I love getting bundled up in my Knight gear, settling down with a cup of hot tea and rooting for my two favorite players!

Flag Football...

Saturday, the boys had their first football game of the season.

They are on different teams this year, so we had two very early games! Roen's little team lost by one but Remi's team came out with a win. I just love bundling up in black and white, grabbing a mug of hot tea and settling in to watch the boys play. Neither is the star of the team, or very aggressive, but watching them never seems to get old!

Football Camp 2017...

This morning, the boys were off to their very first football camp. They were sweaty, happy little boys when I picked them up...

Undefeated...

Flag football is officially over. On Saturday, we played two playoff games and ended up being the champs with an undefeated season. The boys loved playing this year!



Roen insisted on wearing these bright orange socks and wearing white eye paint instead of black... I just love that he embraces being his unique little self no matter what!



If there is one thing Remi likes, it is to be the best. He was so proud that his team won and quietly requested that I take a picture of him with the thropy...





We also had lots of sweet spectators that came to cheer the boys on...







Now, on to basketball!!

To The Playoffs...

Well, our little football team had a pretty impressive season ending up winning all of our games. Though, my boys were by no means the star of the team, they gave it their all and I still had so much fun watching this sweet group of boys...



Now, we are off to the playoffs in a few weeks!!

Flag Football...

I am not sure if you remember OUR 1st EXPERIENCE with FLAG FOOTBALL (click here), but it was not good.

But, two years later, we decided to give it another go.

I have to say, Remi is no longer sitting in the middle of the field looking for lizards and Roen is no longer just a spectator shoving his mouth full of donuts.

This year, it has been an absolute blast watching these little boogers run all over the field chasing flags...
