Winter Nationals '26...

This is the second year in a row that Roen's winter national golf tournament conflicted with Remi's robotics meet... which also happened to all fall on Valentine's Day. Last minute, Remi's meet got moved to a different weekend- our week of snow and ice had extracurricular school schedules rearranged every which way. I decided to stay home with Remi anyways, so that he could spend Valentine's Day with Elle and I wouldn't have to figure out last minute arrangements for the dogs.

I really hated missing out and maybe one of these years, I'll get to join in on the winter Florida golf fun again, but dividing and conquering just comes with the territory of having kiddos close in age.

Roen got to spend a lot of time with a childhood golf buddy and I think they had the best time! His golf had a lot of potential, as he sat in 2nd place for most of day one. However, with a triple on 18, he went into day 2 at 14th place. He never did find that sweet spot momentum on Sunday, and so ended worse than hoped. All in all, they had a lot of fun and I think it was a great little change of scenery for them both!

Day One: 76

Day Two: 86

UA Tour, Cedar Hill...

This was the boys last Under Armour tournament of the fall.

Remi woke up extra early to go pick up Elle so she could come watch! It was so fun having her along and you can only imagine how much this boy mom loved having a sweet girl along for the day!

Neither boy played amazing. Remi ended much better than he started and Roen played well enough to come in as League Champion for the 3rd tour in a row.

Roen: R1- 38 2nd, R2- 40 *qualified for Winter Nationals in February

Remi: R1- 3rd, R2- 1st *Elle followed Remi so I don't have his scores

Overall, this fall tour felt like a bit of a flop. Both boys played consistent mediocre golf. Roen is getting to advance to Winter Nationals in February, so I'm just hopeful he can show-up with his A-game.

UA Tour, Buffalo Creek...

Brrrrrr.... this one was cold!!!

No one played real great, but we were just proud to survive the weather! When Roen is wearing winter gear, you know it's cold, because that boy runs hot!

Remi:R1- 45 (3rd), R2-45 (2nd)

Roen: R1- 39 (2nd), R2-42

UA Irving...

This was the boys first Under Armour tournament of the fall. They had three total, with each 18 holes broken down into two 9 hole rounds.

This year, two of Roen's best friends got bumped up into Remi's age division. Roen is a very young "May Baby", so he is still in the lower age division until this spring. I have to say, it has been pretty fun for Remi to get to play with Easton and Pearson... Roen's friends are easily some of Remi's closest friends too!

Remi: 77, R1:39- 2nd, R2:38- 2nd

Roen: 73, R1:36- 1st, R2:37- 3rd

UA Worlds 2025...

Roen qualified for the World Championship again this year, so we got another fabulous trip to Orlando! It was hot.... like breathing fire hot... while in a sauna hot, but we survived! Remi threw in his clubs so that he could sneak in a round with Roen on his practice day!

Roen played the Nicholas Course both days, but really never found his sweet spot momentum. After day one, he had high hopes of coming in under par and ranking in the top 10-15 of the 105 golfers that competed. He ended up placing T39 at 8 over for the tournament. Not horrible, but definitely didn't showcase what he is capable of.

We went out for pizza one night and of course popped into Ford's, but ended up doing take out the rest of the time because that heat zapped us! We got home, showered and got comfy... after a little Starbucks cake pop and caramel frappuccino run that is (There was one just down the street and by the time we made it to the car drenched in sweat, a cold treat was exactly what the boys thought they needed). We watched lots of Lost in Space and Shark Tank. Both boys are snugglers, and one night all 4 of us ended up on the couch, and despite it being beyond uncomfortably squished, I just giggled. These days, I'll take any time I can get with my boys!

Practice Round:73 (Remi 81)

Day One: 73

Day Two: 79

*I included a little now and then of the boys at Ford's last year compared to this year!

UA National Photos...

I love that these tournaments provide photographers on the course! It makes for an easy way to sneak in a family picture and of course, some good golf swing shots!
