This is totally what I get for staying up too late reading scary books.
Picture this.
I'm at home alone, curled up in bed (around midnight) reading while the boys are tucked in their beds sleeping. Of course, the book Im reading is murder mystery/thriller. I am literally at the part where the serial killer is trying to break into the protagonist's home when I hear the very loud creaking of a door opening. There is only one door in our house that does that- Roen's door. So, I close my book and wait several minutes for him to come hop in bed with me- like he always does.
Except he never comes.
I'm already all nerves from this ridiculous book I'm reading, so I quietly- and maybe a bit nervously- head to his room. When I walk in his room, his bed is empty. I stop and listen and can't here him walking around or making noise. I also can't find him.
At this point, I'm like really?! Of all nights? Why couldn't I have been reading Anne of Green Gables?! Saying I'm totally freaked out would be an understatement.
When I finally do find Roen, he is in Remis room....
A very sweet sight for the heart that was about to jump out of my chest!!!

Now this is why I don't read scary stories or watch scary movies!! So glad he was snuggled safe in Remi's bed. Brother love...nothing better!
