Every year, the day after Halloween, I start getting my Christmas decor out. I love getting to take my time, doing one room, then the next, adding things here and fluffing things there. I love going into Thanksgiving with everything done. It makes traveling to be with family more enjoyable, knowing that the decorating has been checked off.
The boys have always loved looking through their ornament boxes and decorating their trees. This year, they both got a bigger tree for their rooms. They seem to have quite a big collection of ornaments going, so a bigger tree was definitely needed.

There is nothing better than falling asleep to the twinkle of Christmas tree lights- unless there is a tiny poodle snuggled in your arms, and then that makes it even better...
And of course, I have had the jolliest good time turning the house into a little Christmas wonderland! I have a little bit of everything this year- pinks in my library, navy blue and red in the living room, black and white in other parts. I think total I ended up with around 11 trees- 2 big, 5 medium and 4 small trees. With the boys getting new ones and combining all my decorations, there ended up being that many, and no tree goes unused in this house!
I love advent calendars- but I hate the thought of giving my kids more stuff every single day with Christmas so close. So, each day, the boys get a fun little Christmas joke to read. We use the same ones every year and my hope is that one day, these little papers will be wrinkled from little hands and the jokes fun memories they will never forget.

It looks beautiful! I love the pictures, but I can only imagine walking through the house and seeing all the decorations. The boys new ornaments are so cool. They did a great job decorating their trees. I remember when y’all were little all the ornaments were at the bottom of the tree. With each year they inched their way up to the top. I really like the advent calendar...can’t wait to hear some of the jokes. In addition to the paper aging and the boys growing older, I pray that you and Micah grow as old as the last ornament on your tree...Santa and Mrs. Claus! I look forward to seeing them on your tree and letting my mind fill with wonderful memories ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Love y’all bunches!
