The boys- especially Remi, have been begging for an elf since last year. I have always had the attitude that I had gotten away with not subsuming to this trend for so long, that why start now?
But this year I changed my mind.
Why not let my boys participate in this little tradition of Christmas magic? They only believe for so long, and then this conversation ceases to exist at all. Why not fill Christmas with more memories and more traditions? I decided to eat my words, go back on my promise to never buy silly elves and ended up buying each boy their own- I mean if I'm in, I might as well be all the way in!
The boys have been anticipating their arrival for days and they finally arrived! Roen named his Jingle Bells and Remi named his Jolly. They woke up the first morning as if it were Christmas morning, hunting for their little friends. I was in the kitchen frying bacon, listening to their little feet patter on the stairs, room to room and squeals of excitement when they finally found them sitting with Grinch and Stuffed Elf at the foot of the bunk room tree.
It was a sweet way to start our morning, and that little light of magic in the boy's eyes as they imagined these tiny red-suited beings sneaking around our house made this purchase worth every penny!

Love the names of the Elves! The boys may have to put a tracking device on Jingle Bells and Jolly to be able to find them in that house. I can’t wait to see the adventures of this pair. ❤️
