Santa Came With Goodies...

Without a doubt, my favorite day of the year is Christmas morning. The excitement and anticipation from the boys is contagious and magical in every way!

Roen woke up so so early! He came into our room crawled in our bed and tried to fall back asleep but knowing all his Santa treasures were just a room away was just way too exciting to even think about sleep. I made him wait until 7:00 before I would let him wake Remi up. I knew once Remi was up, making him wait would be near impossible.

So I got up, made a pot of hot tea, turned on a few lights and let Micah and Remi sleep until making Roen wait any longer was just too much for me to handle!

Santa brought the boys all kinds of goodies. They both got Nintendo Switches which was on both of their lists. They also got little banjos- with a ukulele arm making them technically called Banjoleles. Roen had put three instruments on his list this year, hoping he would get one: banjo, mandolin and a bandolin. They got ping pong paddles, books, personalized toiletry bags, knives, chargers, chapstick, candy, poison ivy soap for a boy who can't stay out of trees, turtle pajama pants for a boy who loves turtles, pencils, deodorant, felt picks for their ukuleles and lots of other little trinkets!

Santa brought the dogs a teepee, some unicorn toys and yummy little treats! I was so excited they didn't get left out!

After seeing what Santa brought, we cooked a big breakfast and filled up on eggs, bacon, sausage and biscuits. We took our time, eating, cleaning up, playing with Santa gifts and then we let the boys open their presents from us. They got clothes, jackets, shoes, personalized books stamps and then one big gift from us. Roen got his very first deer rifle and Remi got a drone that he has been asking for for a very long time. Both boys had that happy sparkle in their eye, and we had the very best day, spending Christmas at home, just us four.

Micah and I have our own little tradition. Ever since our first year of marriage, we have filled each other's stockings and bought as many presents as we could for each other. After we had kids, we waited until Christmas Eve when the kids were fast asleep to open. We have always done our Christmas for each other in private- just the two of us. This is a tradition that I love. It makes Christmas Eve even more special having this to look forward to! We have so much fun buying things for each other, making lists, finding surprises, seeing the pile of goodies we get to open!

Once again, Micah spoiled me rotten. He filled my stocking full of books- so many books, tea, calligraphy pens, headbands, straws, and so many other goodies! The best way to my heart is through hot tea and books... he nailed it!

This Christmas was full of so many wonderful memories with my boys, family, friends, smiles, snuggles on the couch- the days all ran together, one right into the other and so when I think back to the two weeks we had, it is one big, warm fuzzy feeling of gratefulness.

What a wonderful Christmas you all had! Santa was a busy guy at the Davenport house. I enjoyed seeing all the pictures and the smiles on all the faces ❤️ Thanks for sharing!
Love y’all!
