UIL Ceremony...

What a special little ceremony the school put on for all of the UIL participants.

Parents had special seating in front of the bleachers, the coaches had reserved front row seating, the elementary students filled up the bleachers, and then once everyone was seated, the UIL participants got to walk into the gym, to the tune of Celebration by Kool & The Gang. These kiddos who worked so hard after school, before school, at home, studying and learning for their event, walked into that gym in their matching UIL shirts with giant smiles, that of course, brought tears to my eyes.

Seeing these kids get recognized for their efforts in front of their peers, was awesome! I loved getting to see students in other grades and other events who made the team and who placed in their event. There were many students who participated in more than one event and who also placed in more than one event... I am so proud of our school, the coaches and students who all played a part in bringing the Championship home!

Roen placed 2nd individually in chess and his team placed 1st

Remi placed 3rd individually in chess and his team also placed 1st

The school sent out cute little invitations to the parents that matched the barnyard reception theme. The tables were filled with cupcakes topped with farm animals, punch and they even had a special cake made! I love little details, and nothing went unnoticed by this momma! What efforts went into making these students feel appreciated!

What an awesome way to recognize all the participants, coaches and parents for all their hard work! The boys did great. Chess is hard...really, really hard! At least in my books 🥴. Congratulations to all!
Love y’all!
