Day two was our first day to ski with the kids! To be honest, we were all a bit fearful that day two wouldn't happen because there were mountains closing all around- Taos, Red River... we knew it was only a matter of time before Angelfire closed as well. Thankfully, we got in day two- I would have been heartbroken if I hadn't gotten at least one day to ski with my boys.
The boys were so excited to show us everything they learned with their instructor, Sandy! Probably the biggest highlight of the trip was that they finally got to go down a Black Diamond. They have been begging and dreaming of the day that they could finally do this! When they asked Sandy, he made a deal with them, that if they could get their parallel turns down and stay under control, he would take them on their first Black.
They were all so proud that they not only went down a black, but did it twice. Of course, this was the first thing they wanted us to do with them! After we did a warm-up run, Micah and I went down Eagle Glade... and they beat us... by a long shot! I love that I have been blessed with two fearless little adventurers to go through life with!
Of course, later that evening, there was deer feeding, snow playing and hamburger grilling!

How wonderful! I can’t imagine going down a black diamond unless I was sitting on my bottom 😆. Really cool that they love skiing as much as you and Micah. Great memories being made. The deer are gonna be sad this week...no treats! Glad y’all had fun. Thanks for sharing all the wonderful pictures. Love y’all!
