Celebrating Pops...

Last week, we all met up at Babe's to celebrate Pops' birthday. The boy's love Babe's and we all love sneaking in a little mid-week family dinner!

The boys are so blessed to have Pops for a grandpa.

From time to time, I think about how much I miss the boys getting to have time with my dad as a grandpa, how badly I wish I could see him teaching them to build, loading up in the golf cart for a quick 9 holes with the boys, weekend visits, getting to watch him love on my boys. It's like I never knew what I missing, losing him at the age of 3, but at the same time, knowing exactly what I missed. We definitely all missed out on a lifetime of memories with my dad, but I have to say, Pops' has done a beautiful job of filling the shoes as the boy's one and only grandpa.

I hope being out in Forestburg, on his land, fishing, driving the Kobota around and running wild, will always be place of refuge for them. A place they remember fondly, growing from little boy into big boy, chasing adventure after adventure with their Pops!

A great little celebration of Pops! It is certainly a blessing for the boys to have him in their lives. I can only imagine the fun they have at his place. I too think from time to time how great it would be if your daddy was still living. Oh the pranks he would be teaching the boys. 😉
It looks like the best birthday celebration...I know the food was delicious.
Love y’all bunches!
