A Christmas Vacation Day One...

This year, we decided to take the boys on a little Christmas getaway. If I'm being honest, the boy's Christmas lists were pretty short this year and there isn't much they need, so instead of a material gift, we gave them the gift of travel and some great memories!

Skiing has proven to be one of their most favorite activities and without a doubt, something all four of us love doing together! Since we typically go to New Mexico over Spring Break, we decided to visit a brand new place for our Christmas ski trip!

On the Saturday after school let out, we woke up super early and flew to Deer Valley, Utah. It was amazing! This little piece of mountain heaven was some of the best skiing we have ever done! No snowboarders, spacious mountains and giant, snow-capped mountains!

With our trip being right before Christmas, we decided to keep it short and sweet, only staying three nights and two full days of skiing. It really was the most perfect way to kick off break and a tradition we hope to start. The day we arrived, Remi kept saying, "I just can't believe we are here!" The boys would tell you, it was most definitely their favorite gift of all!

The boys packed their snowball makers in their carry-ons, and were ready to dive into the snow the minute we arrived. But first things first, we toasted to making wonderful memories and filling our bellies after a morning of travel.

After a late lunch, we headed over to the Park City ice skating rink and spent the next hour spinning around on the ice! From there, we headed over to main street, where we strolled the Christmas lit street full of quaint little shops with a backdrop of snowy mountains! The boys played in the snow while I popped in and out of shops that caught my eye. I happened to stumble upon the most adorable bookstore I have ever seen, which put my little book heart on cloud 9!

After we finished eating some pretty yummy steak at Prime Steak House, we went back to our room and the boys took a little late night dip in the hot tub!

There is no better feeling than being up in the mountains, breathing in the fresh air,  exploring a new little mountain town, in anticipation of hitting the slopes! What a magical day this was!

Leaving the house at 6:30, came pretty early!

Finally Arrived!

Nothing better than the mountain being covered in Christmas decor!
