A Christmas Vacation Day Three...

On our 3rd day we woke up to some cold, windy and snowy weather! I think the elves were anticipating these low temperatures because when we woke up, they were in the process of making their own little fire!

There was no way we weren't going to brave the cold, because this was our last day to ski! We  knew temps were going to drop throughout the day- to the tune of 16 degrees and 25 mph winds, but bundled up and went for it anyway!

We lasted until about lunch time, where we stopped by the lodge to warm up, eat more pizza and let the boys play on the arcades. This little downstairs restaurant was so perfect! They had the door propped open so we could still see the snow falling and the boys could have spent all day playing on the arcade games that were all FREE!

After lunch we went back out and lasted most of the day, but in the end the freezing wind and blinding snowstorm cut us a few hours short of our full day! Even so, we were all in agreeance, that we were ready to come in out of the weather!

We ended up getting so cozy, that we canceled our dinner plans, built a big fire, ordered hot cocoa to the room and got take out sushi! I love looking out the window at a snowy day while being bundled up, all warm and cozy!

We woke up the next morning, sad to leave the snowy mountains, but excited that in just a few short days, Santa would be coming!

This little Christmas getaway was one amazing trip and looking back over all these pictures just melts my heart! I sure do love these boys, who are always ready to take on the next adventure with us, and if there is one thing these boys remember most about their childhood, I hope it the adventures we had together!

Tea or bubbles.... both!

What a storm! I’m pretty sure that I would have taken a hard pass on braving that weather. Y’all are troopers 👏🏻 It looks beautiful and I’m sure thankful that y’all didn’t freeze. The arcade was a great choice. Y’all certainly packed in a lot of fun in a few days, but the memories will definitely last a lifetime ♥️ Thanks so much for taking pictures and sharing your adventures! It is awesome to see!! Love y’all bunches!!
P.S....tell Remi that his “morning hair” is cute! I think he gets it from his daddy 😉.
