The day we arrived, we got our bags to the room and set off without any plan or reservation for the evening. We were both starving, so our first stop was for food!
The Darling was right on King Street and actually ended up being our favorite restaurant of the trip! We had the best oysters we've ever had and completely stuffed ourselves by ordering anything on the menu that caught our eye! I also had my very first oyster shooter and it was pretty yummy! I liked it so much, I had two!
From The Darling, we walked King Street, popped in shops and did a bit of shopping! We ended up on The Dewberry rooftop, Citrus Club, where we had a drinks, enjoyed the view and stayed until the chilly breeze sent us back down to our room for the night!

Day One sounds like a perfect day…minus all those oysters 🤢. Especially the oyster shooter. You are a tougher person than I am. Once that hit bottom it would be on its way right back up. 🥴. I am so glad y’all got to spend this time together… laid back and on no schedule. Thanks for sharing…I’ll be anxious to read about Day 2! Love y’all
