Op 36

The boy's golf program, Operation 36,  began this summer and has already come to an end. The boys made the practices they could, missed several competition days, but had an absolute blast doing this program for the second summer in a row and this time, with even more buddies! Remi did his best, but never was able to hurdle over the 100 mark. Roen saved his incredible 9 hole round for the very last day and ended up with 3 birdies and an eagle to put him over into the yellow tee mark.

Roen does incredibly well under pressure. In fact, I'd say he does his very best under pressure! These competitions tend to be more tense than a normal round or tournament because you know at a certain point that if you don't get a certain amount of pars or birdies, there is no way to make it. Remi struggles in this type style of play- he does better playing, not knowing scores. However, this is so good for the boys- if they can learn to control their mentality now, it will serve them well later on.

I love that this program seems to be growing and we are definitely looking forward to it next year!

Way to go boys! Golf is definitely a mental game and that is (to me) the hardest part of the game. They will enjoy this sport for life. I love all the pictures, but the one that looks like Remi is playing peekaboo and the one of Micah giving advice are my favorites. Team Davenport…keep the drives long and the putts short!!
Love y’all bunches!😘
