Saying Good-Bye to Seaside...

When our last day came, we were all very thankful to have a late flight.

We packed up, took a few last pictures of our house, left our bags on our front porch and then loaded up to get in one last little outing before heading back to Destin for our flight. We drove over to what ended up being another one of my favorite little places, Rosemary Beach. The rain was back, but it definitely didn't rain on our shopping parade. We first stopped at the Town Center, where there was shop after shop full of pretties and treasures- everything from preppy dog boutiques to gourmet kitchen shops to scrumptiously soft lounge wear and jars of scented body products. This was by far this biggest shopping area we visited, but don't worry, I made sure I went into every single one!

At the very end of the street, closest to the beach, was a place called The Pearl. I fell in love with this beautiful hotel and decided right then and there, one day, I would be back and specifically to stay at this beautiful hotel- even if only for one night!

From here, we headed over to yet another little shopping area where I found what might of been my favorite store of the entire trip! As we pulled up I spotted a quaint little bookstore called The Hidden Lantern. And as if that wasn't exciting enough, there was a little coffee and tea house right next door. I immediately popped in to grab a cup of hot English Breakfast tea and then skipped out on the other boutiques to soak up our remaining time in the little gem of a bookstore. They had a little section of classic literature, which is where I spent most of my time. I ended up grabbing a few books ( Fahrenheit 451 & The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind) and a handful of bookmarks I couldn't resist! This was the most perfect way to end our time in Florida!

We made our purchases, and then it was time to grab our bags, return the jeep and wait for our taxi to pick us up! We got home late and though we never really would have been ready to end our fun, hugging our babies was something we couldn't wait to do!
