TO Junior Golf Tournament...

Well, we survived another year at the TO. This year, one of Roen's very best friends played with him, so it was extra fun! Besides melting on day 1, we got blessed with some incredibly overcast, mild days on day 2 and 3. Roen had Boo come in on day 2 to caddy, which gave me a little break from playing caddy.  Micah ended up caddying for Roen day 1 and Remi the last two days. I caddied for Remi day 1 and Roen most of the last day (Micah took over once Remi had finished his round). No doubt about it, whoever had Micah, was at a huge advantage because he is so helpful with reading greens and course management. Bennett also came to watch, cheer the boys on, and even spent one night with us!

Remi started off really rough, and that first round killed his standings. But once Micah stepped in, he was able to play much better. The last two days, #17 landed Roen with a double and triple which turned his 76 and 74 into a 78 and 76. It's tough out there, literally every single stroke counts, and there is very little room for error when you are playing for those top spots!

Overall, it was such a great golf getaway and I love watching the boys push through those really hot days and tough rounds! Well done, boys!

Oh, and this year the boys were in the same age bracket, which meant they competed against each other. And I have included a little "now and then" at the bottom so you can see how much they have changed from the days of Boo caddying for little 6th grade Roen.

Roen: 17th out of 55

Day 1: 76, Day 2: 78, Day 3: 76

Remi: 45th out of 55

Day 1: 92, Day 2: 83, Day 3: 86

Great golf RD’s!! I admire their dedication and ability to keep their focus and get their game back on track. You got some good pictures and I loved the then and now pictures of Boo and Roen. Geez…Roen has grown up so much! Cutie pie 6th grader! Thanks for sharing! It’s always fun to see where they’ve played. Love y’all 😘
