August is always a whirlwind of a month! Trying to squeeze in the last drop of summer sunshine while also trying to get back in the swing of some sort of school routine, although not too early, because we definitely have to live up sleeping in while we can! It's school supplies, backpacks, new clothes for growing boys, and kids who refuse to believe school is actually starting back up!
We kicked off August with Collin's baptism, and I love that the entire family showed up for this wonderful day! This was followed by a very special engagement, some couple portrait painting (they painted each other), the sweetest blind book date gift from Elle (a "just because" gift she brought me at church), Roen in the kitchen cooking up a snack because the boy is always hungry, Micah on bird duty with my pink Daisy, lazy mornings with Benny, a late summer swim, an on-the-way-to-school second sleep, looking through old baseball cards, Roen playing hooky for the match-play tournament, couples golf and me having to get a picture because Remi and Elle matched perfectly, the Chat GPT version of that same picture (I did this for his HOCO proposal poster), and my furry company (in a rare occurrence of them relaxing in close proximity)!
God sure has a wonderful way of filling our cups with exactly what we need and so much of what we don't deserve! Thankful, grateful, and so very appreciative of all these precious smiles and people!
