Once we made the decision to be Wildcats, the reality of a new school seemed so far away. Then it got a little bit closer, until finally it was only days away. It was kind of like ripping off a band-aid- we were all a little ready to get the nervous beginning over so we could create our new normal school routine.
Our little lake community is full of families and kiddos that attend our new school, so going in, we all had a handful of friends along side us. In fact, my two very best friends are teachers at the school- one is Roen's Reading teacher! So despite being in a new place, our dearest people are right here with us!
If the boys look a bit nervous in these pictures, it is because they were! I was completely overwhelmed... so much so, that I introduced Roen to Remi's teacher as her student!
Micah and group of his friends setup at the high school for later that evening where they served hotdogs at Meet The Wildcats. The boys helped served sweet tea, I bought loads of spirit wear, the kids wore snow cone mustaches as they ran around catching frogs, and in the most perfect way, I felt like we were already a part of the community!

Firsts are always nerve wracking! The boys look handsome as always....wearing their killer smiles! Glad it went well and having familiar faces always helps. Wishing y’all a great first year at Callisburg 🙌🏻
Love y’all bunches!
