A Mind that Builds...

He builds and he builds and he builds.

This boy never stops. His mind is in a constant state of imagining, inventing and creating. Most nights, as I lay with him before bed, he talks about things he wants to builds, ideas he has, solutions to creating it all. He goes down to his workshop for hours and hours at a time. Sometimes he comes up to show me the things he created and then sometimes I just find them.

I think his mind must never really shut down, I think he probably sees the world in a way most of us can't, and there is rarely a day that goes by that I am not fascinated by the workings of his brain.

Here are a few of his recent creations...

Hand-held, home-made fishing pole...

A little battery operated crank...

This is one of his bigger projects. He took a broken scooter and broken motor bike form a trash pile- the scooter had bad batteries and the bike had a bad motor. He took the motor from the scooter, rewired it into the bike and got that thing running!

Just for fun, I went down to his dungeon of engineering to peek around. I never know what all I will find, but it is usually lots of little projects in the making, a giant mess of wires, tools everywhere, duct tape, batteries, hot glue guns and bits of anything you could imagine.

I am amazed at how many things he has built and reconstructed over the years! He truly has a mind that far exceeds his years. At 10, I’m pretty sure the best I could have done with the scooter and motor bike would have been to manually push them down the street. Way to go Remi!! Keep those wheels turning....you are destined for great things!!!
Have a great weekend!! Sending love and hugs❤️
