A few weeks ago, we loaded up the truck, grabbed a few tents, and headed out to Lake Texoma for a few nights of camping! We chose an area called Fobb Bottom, because this is the place Micah grew up going with his dad. On the drive out there, Micah said he still got that same feeling he did a boy, when he and his dad were headed out for camping and fishing. I love that these little traditions are being carried on to our boys!
Of course, fishing was most definitely the main agenda...
Our campsite was 5 tents- 3 for couples and then two for the boys, with one boy tent holding 5!
The boys had a blast making their own fire and then helping with the big fire too! We did hobo dinners and then had s'mores for dessert!
The next morning, the guys got bacon and eggs going for breakfast and then made a fire for us moms because it was very chilly!
Remi, Landon and Leyton even got to have a zoom meeting from way out in the sticks...
After breakfast, the boys spent the morning checking jug lines, fishing and digging on the beach. We ended up going home that afternoon because a storm was headed our way and there was no way we were weathering the storm in tents. We were all bummed that our camping trip was cut short, but I all the boys ended up at our house for the night, so it ended up being another fun evening!
The next morning consisted of these sweet boys, donuts and tennis...

My goodness...what a fun adventure! Those boys look like they are in heaven. They’ve got some made fire making skills. Good enough they could teach the Survivor contestants a thing or two 😉. Sorry for the camp out being cut short, but they all look plenty happy on the couch with donuts. Keep making those memories...Micah can attest that they last a lifetime ❤️
Happy Memorial Day weekend! Love y’all bunches!!
