4th of July has become one of my favorite holidays in the years since we bought our little yellow house on the lake. There is just something about celebrating America and being on the lake that go hand and hand.
This year, we didn't throw a huge party like we normally do- we kept things simple and low-key. We went with finger foods instead of a big meal and honestly, this is the first year ever, that I actually got to get into the water, visit, hang out and not play hostess. It was pretty nice. Of course, we had lake friends that stopped by- some stayed all day, a few came and went, some showed up for the fireworks, it was a wonderful day of friends, that reminded me why I love this community so much!
It is tradition to start the day off with the 4th Of July Golf Cart Parade. A sweet family always hosts us all with brunch, mimosas and the perfect parade viewing spot!
After the parade, we came back home and got ready for our day! I didn't get many pictures because I was in the water, sipping Micah's famous margaritas and enjoying the day to the fullest, but it was filled with water slide fun, friends, and fun!
Fireworks always start around 9. We quickly gather blankets chairs and we always have a pretty big crowd gather on the back lawn. I am convinced our lake community throws the best firework show around and I love that we get to watch it with friends and right out the back door.

What a perfect day. You’ve heard the saying less is sometimes more...I think you got to experience that. So glad you were able to join in all the activities and enjoy the 4th to it’s fullest. A little jealous about those Micah margaritas....next time we’re together! π
The fireworks picture is beautiful! Next year we need a video! Or I need a reservation ππ
Thanks for sharing such a great celebration!! Love y’all bunches!! ❤️
