On The Day Remi Turned 11...

One the day Remi turned 11, he actually had a morning doctor's appointment, and so we got to pull him from school early! This worked out perfectly, because we got an entire day with our boy!

As I finished up breakfast that morning, we let Remi open his presents from us and Roen. Micah and I got him a telescope so that he can search the night sky in all his wonder of space. Roen got him a new 3 wood for his golf set- I really have no idea what a 3 wood is, but that is exactly what Roen wanted to give him, and Remi was pretty excited about it! Then we ate breakfast as normal, let him blow out a candle on his biscuit and sang Happy Birthday before it was off to school!

We were able to pick him up just a few hours after school started! After his doctor's appointment, we took him to his lunch of choice. I knew exactly what he would pick- sushi! This boy can put down a serious amount of salmon sushi! Between him and Micah, they ate 14 pieces before our hibachi even arrived- I was able to sneak one piece!

After lunch, we headed over to a new shopping favorite for the boys, Scheels. We let Remi lead the way and had fun browsing the store until we ended up in the one place he was really there for- the fishing department! We found lots of goodies but the most exciting thing we left with was Remi's very first fly fishing rod. He had a blast picking out all the little fly lures and has been practicing off our back dock whenever he can.

Remi spent the remainder of the day organizing his flies, casting with his new rod and then we finished off the day with one of Roen's baseball games were the Wildcats brought home a win. It really was the perfect day with our boy. Remi loves having one on one attention and these days, we take that opportunity any chance we can!

What an exciting day! I still can’t believe he’s 11 😬. Tell him I could join him and Roen in the wild hair look first thing in the morning 😂. I might have them beat. 😂 Remi got some wonderful gifts. He sure looks happy and I know he had a great day celebrating!! Keep growing old, Remi.
Love y’all bunches!!
