Roen is 10!!

On Wednesday, my little Roen turned 10! Somehow, both my boys are now in the double digits and it seemed to happen overnight! 

Roen is our happy, positive little guy! Roen loves all things sports and loves competing! He is also our little social butterfly! He is happy to run with his own age group, but has some pretty close friendships with Remi's friends and some of his very best friends are in the grade below. He is easy to be around and is a pretty awesome little friend. Roen loves being busy, loves being around people and makes life bright and colorful! 

His special day started the night before when we let him open one present from us and one present from Anne. I am not sure there has been a more excited momma than the moment I discovered there was a such thing as turtle costumes. Roen was pretty tickled over his turtles new taco and emoji costumes!

The next morning, started much like any other school morning. We had breakfast and then let him open one more present. This present was a new water bottle (Roen has a serious love for these particular Camelbak water bottles)  and slides (he also has a serious love for shoes). He took his new water bottle to school and set off to take the Reading STAAR test. Not an ideal way to spend your day turning 10, but Roen didn't seem to mind at all.

After school, we had just enough time to eat his requested dirt cake and open his remaining presents before heading to the ballfields to play some ball with his buds. He got new orange and purple Nikes from Remi, some new golf gear and beats from Anne, Cici, Whit and Kim and then we got him what was number one on his list, a One-Wheel. He is so happy that he can finally keep up with his big brother! He had just enough time to take it out for a few test runs before throwing on his uniform, playing an awesome game at first and catcher, taking a win and ending the evening with a little Chick-Fil-A at his request!

Celebrating Roen's 10 birthday was crammed pack, but it was such a good day!
