Turks & Caicos Day Five...

Our last full day in Turks was dedicated to the beach! We woke up early, cooked a big breakfast and then set off on one of my most favorite adventures of the trip!

A few miles from our shore, were a cluster of little rock islands. During low tide, the water is shallow enough  that you can walk all the way out to them! We actually walked out to the closest one at the beginning of our stay, but I forgot to bring my phone for pictures, and the rocks were so sharp that I wish I had brought shoes to walk around. This time, I was prepared with shoes for exploring and a camera to document! This little island was almost magical! It took us an hour to walk out to the island, so it was quite the trek. Micah and I walked with little mesh backpacks and the boys snorkeled the whole way out.

Once we reached the little shore of the island and climbed to the very tip top where we could see out all around us, it was incredible! On one side we could see all the way back to our house and the mint green bay. On the other side, it was like a completely new body of water. The color was the perfect shade of caribbean turquoise and never ended. I really never wanted to leave this little heavenly island, but with a storm lurking and high tide looming, we explored, we took pictures, I promised myself I would come back one day and then we made the trek back.

The boys walked the bay and explored to their heart's content, I watched from my lounger, and we truly soaked up every ray the sun had to offer. These trips are so dear to my heart and I am never really ready for them to end. That night, I finished laundry, got bags packed and the next morning we headed back to the airport for the journey back to the Lone Star.

Turks will always be a favorite and has always provided us a trip of a lifetime. I have no doubt, we will be back, maybe in a few years, maybe in 10, but until we do, these memories will some of the very best!

What an awesome day! They’ve all been amazing and this last day was on point! The boys look like they got breakfast fit for a king. Way to go Chef Micah. 👏🏻👏🏻 The last day is dreaded but y’all packed in a lot of fun. The trek out to the island was an undertaking but judging from the pictures it was worth every step. Thanks so much for sharing your pictures and your thoughts! I’ll be ready to see what y’all got into when you got home. Love y’all bunches 😘
