On The Day Roen Turned Four...

We started the morning off with sprinkle donuts.... this has kind of become a tradition that we do on both boy's birthdays. Micah always gets up early and has an assortment of colorfully sprinkled donuts waiting for the boys when the get up... and chocolate milk, of course!

Then, we headed to swim lessons. Roen has been anticipating the day he could ride in a booster car seat like Remi for a very long time. It was such a thing to be celebrated that I vacuumed out the car the day before and had his brand-new blue booster in his seat waiting. He was very proud...

After swim lessons, we picked up Chick-fil-a (this is something the boys and I do after every lesson) and headed to the bowling alley. Originally, we were going to take the boys fishing but the rain has been non-stop so bowling was a nice indoor solution. The boys had a blast bowling and I am not a bit surprised that they both beat me... have I mentioned how incredibly bad at bowling I am? If you knew me in high school, this would not come as a surprise... I think anything that requires aim is a bit out of my league!

After bowling, we ate pizza at The Mellow Mushroom (a family favorite) and headed home so that Micah could go to work for a few hours. We ended the night with friends and burgers (Roen's dinner request).

Such an awesome day!! Still can't believe that your boys are growing up so fast.
