I think every child needs a little retreat all their own. A place full of Terebithian magic, an enchanted space conjured up by childhood imagination, a corner to fill with treasures, a place to plop in thought, a place you never grow up.
Now that we are out at the lake full time, we finally have trees large enough to hold a treehouse. I have been dreaming about the day the boys could have their very own treehouse for years, and it is finally happening!
My dream for this space is something like A Secret Garden meets Narnia, a sprinkle of Neverland, topped off with Jo's magic from Little Men. I can't imagine the things the boys will take up there, the slumber parties that will ensue, the conversations, the laughs, the mischief that will be gotten into.
I am naming the treehouse The Cola Dog. We call Remi, Remdog and Roen is our little RP Cola, so it is a combination of their nicknames! Remi has requested a bucket pulley and it is my hope to get electricity up there! Hopefully in the next month or so, this little project will be complete!
Please ignore the construction site our backyard has become! With the dock still being built, it is a bit of an eye sore out there!
