Friendsmas 2023...

This little Christmas tradition is one of my most favorite! It also tends to be the event that kicks off the break!

The kids love making lists for each other and then shopping and picking out gifts for each other. But, the most fun part for them all, is watching each other open what they bought. Sometimes we cook, sometimes we get to-go food, but we always have a big dinner before presents. This year, we played a fun game of Coal in the Cup, where the kids raked up cash prizes and trinkets. Of course, we insist on matching pajamas and pictures which always earns a few grumbles but they all know it's the ticket to opening presents, so they all comply!

FriendsMas 2019...

Friday evening, we had our annual and much anticipated FriendsMas. The kids have been looking forward to this Christmas with their friends since they drew names at FriendsGiving. What a special little tradition this is- for the kids and us adults. Everyone had the very best time picking out the most special gifts for the person they drew and as they opened, everyone gathered around, the excitement overflowing as they waited to see what everyone received. We had a yummy dinner from Rosas, we did our gift exchange, we had hot cocoa and story time, we decorated gingerbread houses in pairs and at the end of the night, we sent everyone upstairs for a sleepover while we got to enjoy some adult time.

The evening was magical in everyday...
