The Last of Skating...

Last week, the boys finished up their last of the Skating Unit in PE. This is a two weeks the boys look forward to every Fall.

They love running into the gym to see my face waiting for them and I love that I get to be there in that way for them. So many of their sweet friends tell me they wish their mommy's and daddy's could come watch them skate too- and because I know some have jobs that don't allow them to come, I take pictures of their kids to send their way and try to love on every single classmate they have- whether it be a high-five as they whiz by or a big hug. Staying at home continues to be a blessing to our family in all the perfect little ways and not a day goes by that I question whether I am doing the work I was meant to do! I love these wild boys of mine and getting to be a part of their school days is something I wouldn't trade for the world!

Skating 2018...

The Skating Unit at school has officially started! Because our Lady Knights made it to the State Championship, the boys will finish the last half of their skating after our Thanksgiving Break. I absolutely love when this time of year is here. The boys both still love having me come watch them skate. As little Kinders and First Graders, I always helped them and their classmates get their gear on- now, I just get to watch them zoom around the gym with sweaty faces and happy smiles! Micah always makes it a point to join in on the fun at some point and that just makes it even better!

Skating

Well, the much anticipated two weeks of skating during PE has arrived. I love that parents are invited to come join in on the skating fun because there is nothing better than getting to be with the boys during school activities!

Skating...

Well, yesterday was the very last day of skating.

The boys ended up being pretty good little skaters and loved having me come skate with them everyday. I actually put skates on and skated 4 different times... and I didn't fall!

Micah came up most days to see the boys skate... which was icing on the cake!

All said and done, Roen came home with this certificate. I wish so badly you could have seen this boy skate. It was like he sprinted laps around the gym! It was the cutest, funniest thing I have ever seen!! No gliding was involved, just fast, running with skates on!

Skating With Remi...

Today, was Remi's day to skate, and he was a sweaty, tired mess by the time his hour was up! The 1st grade boys try to go as fast as they can.... resulting in lots and lots of falling and crashing!!

Love these sweet smiles with good friends...

Skating...

Well, it's that time of year again!

For the next two weeks, the boys get to skate during PE. Last year, I had Roen with me when we went to skate with Remi. I remember trying to picture Roen big enough to partake in the fun... and now he is!! Time flies!

The boy's schedules hit where everyday the other one is skating, so I will be up at the school skating everyday for the next two weeks.... and lets just clarify, that I most likely will not be actually skating but just following the boys around taking pictures (which will thoroughly embarrass Remi)!

Of course, my little Roen was full of smiles and had so much fun...
