House Updates...

Y'all, it's coming together! Everyday, there are multiple crews working hard and fast. Our deadline  for closing on this house is quickly approaching and it has both Micah and I wondering if it will all get done in time. 

This very well could be my very last house update before it's ALL DONE!

The painting is 99% done... just a few little walls here and there. The mancave is the most beautiful Rosemary green and I can't wait to see it as a taxidermy backdrop! The mancave floors have been scraped and stained and they are moving on the rest of the floors. All cabinets have been painted and stained, fence has gone up, gutters done, pool pebbled and filled and the putting green is done! So much excitement everyday!

They are currently installing the golf simulator, sinks and countertops!! 

House Updates...

Turns out, paint prepping is neither fast nor exciting. We had to let our original painter go and had to wait 3 weeks for our new hire to get going. In the meantime, just little things have been done:

-Livingroom cabinets 

-Trimmed out stair window

-Vent hood

-Micah's closet and my library cabinets

-Stain and paint samples

-Pool fire bowls

-Dirt work around the pool and putting green area

-Driveway forms and rebar

-I have finalized wallpaper selections!

Hopefully by next update, we will have some color on walls! These last little details are going to make this house full of personality! We have been told mid-July... eek! I can hardly wait!

5 Months, Give or Take...

Doors: All doors have been delivered and installed! I got to design these exactly how I wanted and I love me a good ole paneled shaker door! *please note my tiny little leprechaun door! It's just the cutest!

Pool & Decking: Dirt work around the pool has been done, concrete poured, travertine delivered and stone install has begun. We have also picked out the tile for around the top inside of the pool along with the pebble. The infinity edge will fall over the stone wall, which is the same stone that is on the house..... love me some detail!

Beams & Mantels: All beams and mantels have been installed!

Cabinets & Trim: Most of the window/door trim is up. He has finished a good amount of the baseboards, crown and shiplap walls/wainscoting. These details have me swooning! He is 95% done will all trim work upstairs, which means painting will start up there very soon!

All cabinetry besides the living, dining hutch and kitchen have been installed. I gave them fair warning that this house would be very heavily wooded with trim and cabinets, but the character it gives a home is always worth it in my book!

Tile: Besides backsplash and my powder bath (it's a typography mosaic) all tile work has been completed! I am in love with the master distressed hexagon wainscoting! Add the chandelier and black lined clawfoot... well, I'll be in heaven!
