So after four years of marriage, we are finally home owners!
We started off renting a huge 5 bedroom house...I don't know why we thought we needed so much space. I think we just got excited about our own place.
From there, we went to the extreme and rented a (literally) one room effeciency garage apartment in Ryan Place, Ft. Worth for 2 years. For those of you who don't know this area...it's is beautiful. Full of early 1900 mansions! This is where I thought we would eventually buy. I still miss our little place to this day!
However, we moved back home on a whim and ended up living with my mom for a year. Bless her heart at one point, Micah, Remi and I all lived upstairs, My sister and her husband lived downstairs (they also moved home on a whim) and my mom was right in the middle of all this!
So, to say I'm pretty excited about our very own place is an understatement!
So here was of the criteria for our home. I have this love for houses built before 1950! So I knew it had to be old. I wanted as much of the original hardwoods as possible and HAD to have a clawfoot tub! I wanted all the original built-ins and I really wanted a porch where I could sip mimosas and read.
So here she is..... Our 1940 English Cottage...clawfoot tub and all!
Remi wanted to be in the picture :)
My porch!
Remi's room
Our cozy corner of the house (I didn't make Little do this...she just likes to pose for all my pictures) *that's my Grannie in that picture...isn't she a beauty!?
My reading nook
my very anthropologie-ish living area ( I like to say this because everyone and their dog made fun of my gold couch)
And drumroll please......
my very, long-awaited, long-anticipated PINK KITCHEN!
