I can't believe my little man will be ONE tomorrow!!! It makes me a little sentimental just thinking about it, but I can't wait to turn his car seat around! We travel so much, that I think he will think he is on top of the world!:)
Back to the weaning...
It was so easy at first. He really didn't notice when I took away that first feeding. However, I got a little impatient and from there I took all his feedings away except his nighttime feeding (his favorite). This is where it got a little harder. He started waking up (only once thank goodness) in the middle of the night wanting to eat. He would cry FOREVER. I thought this might pass so I fed him. Once this went on for about a week, I started taking him a sippycup full of milk. This made him REALLY mad. However, after two nights of the sippycup, and he was sleeping through the night again.
Taking away his last feeding hasn't been too bad. The first night my mom kept him (we went out country dancing) so it really was the perfect time to just do it. Last night, I just put him down and of course, he cried and was mad but after about 20 minutes he was asleep and slept all night.
I sorta of miss nursing Remi. That was our special bonding time. However, I think we were both ready. With our next kids, I don't think I'll do it a whole lot different. I liked not dragging it out. I hate dragging things out and getting it over with quickly seemed to work best for us.
Here are some pics of the big boy...

he LOVES playing with my curling iron...I guess that's what happens when little boys hang out with their Momma all day :)
