Roen's Arrival...

So Roen was born on his actual due date!! My baby is a perfectionist already :)

I started having contractions about every 30 minutes Wednesday afternoon. I laid in bed and watched Remi play almost all day. Later that afternoon Micah's family decided to head down (some of them had 7 hours to drive) in case this was it. As the evening progressed my contractions were coming about every 10 minutes. The doc said to come in when they were every 5-7 minutes. Once Micah's family got in town, they had slowed back down to every 30 minutes. I was convinced it was not the 'real deal'. However, very quickly they started coming about every 5 minutes once everyone went to sleep. I got up to go to the bathroom...thinking my water might be fixing to break. Once I got back in bed...my water broke! I was a little in shock. So after waking everyone up, it was complete chaos trying to get our bags in the car. Micah still hadn't packed, so he was frantically trying to round his things up. I was a little irritated that I was sitting in the car ready to go waiting on him to pack!

Once we got to the hospital, I was at a five. This was around 2:30am. They gave me my epidural and I was good to go. They came in to check me at 7 and Roen was at a +2...and the doc hadn't even been called. He made in just in time. He got to my room around 7:15 and got everything ready. I pushed through three contractions and Roen was born at 7:24am. It was fast and the EASIEST delivery ever!

Remi Meets Roen...

Remi was not really sure what to think about his baby brother. In fact, he really wanted nothing to do with me or the baby! He stayed with my sister while we were in the hospital and that first day, he clung to her for dear life! It was sweet, but it sure was hard on this Momma! However, he greeted me with his usually smile and open arms the next day!

Going Home...

Remi did NOT want to take a family picture!

So we settled for this...

...and finally got this!

He did seem excited to have a new riding buddy!

and just to compare, this is Remi on his way home from the hospital in the same outfit!

First Bath At Home...

Remi just had his bath and is wondering what we are doing to this baby and why it is such a big deal!

I was so exctied to get them in their matching pajamas...however, Remi REFUSED to sit on the couch by us to get a picture!

The Next Day...

Remi woke up and realized that Roen was still here. After trying to get in the bassinet with Roen, we decided to move the crib from my mom's house into our room.

They had on really cute matching outfits, and somehow I never got a picture of them together in them!

He is so precious! What a quick easy delivery for such a big baby. He looks like a little Remi!

The boys I babysit 3 days a week are 19 months apart. When Cooper (the younger one) was born Parker did not acknowledge him for about 3 months, maybe more. And when he finally did it was kind of a resentment towards him. HOWEVER, they are 100% inseparable now at ages 5 and 3. They are best friends, hate to be apart and Cooper adores his big bro. I know you're boys will be the same way, it's just a lot to take in for such a young little guy! They're both so cute, congrats!
