Too Good To Be True...

Once we got home with Roen, things got a little interesting...

Remi was by no means a 'bad' baby. He of course, cried at bath time, diaper changes, when he was hungry and sometimes just to let us know he was around. Well, it wasn't long until we noticed that Roen was much different. He hardly EVER cries. He is just so good (I know, I am jinxing it). Anyways, we thought nothing of it until we got home.

On Saturday night, I noticed that he was throwing up quit a bit. Remi never did this. On Sunday, he was literally throwing up almost everything he ate. I was really worried especially since he was breastfed. I also noticed that he was pooping ALL THE TIME. Like 10-15 times a day.

We are not 'those parents' who freak out over nothing. In fact, we are pretty laid back about almost everything. However, he couldn't keep anything down and since he was so 'good' we thought he might be really sick. So we got in touch with the doc on call and he sent us to the ER. What a nightmare!

They ran tons of tests and it was awful! They had to take blood from his arm and it took them so long to find his little vein and he screamed the whole time! Oh what a terrible moment! Anyways, thankfully all the tests came back normal so we were sent home with some pedialite and were told to followup with our pediatrician the next day.

Today, we went in to see Roen's doctor.

Most babies loose weight in their first five days. The doctor said that a normal weight for Roen would have been 8lbs since he was born 8lbs 12oz. However, today he weighed 9lbs 3oz...7 oz MORE than when he was born! So the doctor went on to ask if I had pumped at all. And I said yes, that I had. He then asked how much I was able to get. I said 5oz from each side AFTER he had eaten. He laughed and said well, your baby is just over eating and you produce a crazy amount of milk! And come to find out, pooping all the time is a good thing!

HA HA HA!

What a relief!

We are so thankful that nothing is wrong with our big ole' boy and that he just likes to eat too much! We are also thankful that God gave us such a sweetheart to balance out crazy monkey big brother!

Anyways, here are some pictures from this week...

So glad nothing is wrong!! Remi looks so big compared to him. I remember that was such a heartbreaker for me when we brought jaxon home because I remember thinking it made Kylee seem so BIG!!

That's exactly what happened with Lofton when we got him home!! I was overfeeding him and he couldn't keep it all in his little body--so glad everything is okay with little Roen. Your baby boys are so, so cute!! Hope you are feeling okay!

I'm happy to hear that he is healthy and a very good baby! Lucky you! I'm praying that we are as lucky! Yes, the ER is such a horrible place but ya'll are great parents that did what you should've. I can't believe he's so big! haha
