Sleep...

Well, Remi started off great in his toddler bed...now, not so much.

He wakes up almost every night around 2 and comes to our room and wants in bed with us. I'm not gonna lie, sometimes we let him just because we are so tired. Other times, I will go sit with him until he falls back asleep in his bed.

The other issue is actually going to bed. Now that he can get out of the bed, he seems to think he can choose when he goes to sleep. It has been a battle every single night! We will tell him 'Remi if you don't lay down, Mommy won't sit with you until you fall asleep and you will have to go to sleep by yourself" and Remi says "bye-bye" and laughs. Little stinker! So we tried a baby gate and he of course knocks it down every time. So today at nap time, I put one of those knob things on his door handle so he couldn't get out. He of course tried to open the door, but never really got that mad that he couldn't get out. After about 20 minutes of not hearing a peep from his room, I went in and this is what I found...

I took these with my cell phone for fear of waking him up...sorry for the poor pic quality!

D'Laney would do this, too. I'd find her asleep with her blankets, on the floor right in front of the baby gate. It only lasted a week or two, then she figured out that her bed was much more comfortable than the floor!
