On the Day You turned One...

We started the day off with one of your favorites for breakfast...cinnamon rolls. I think you ate two or three. Then we took pictures and gave you your present from us. It was a Mickey Mouse ride on train. Remi was just dying for you to get to open it! So far, you have gotten to play with it maybe twice because Remi LOVES it! Surprise, surprise! After your morning nap we went to lunch and then the zoo. For lunch, we went to Dieder Bros where you got your first taste of sauerkraut...you were not a fan! Don't worry, I'm not either! Since this all happened during Remi's nap time, he was alseep by the time we got to the zoo. We ended putting him in the stroller so he could finish his nap and I carried you around to see all the animals. Remi woke up just in time to feed the goats. This was by far your favorite part of the zoo. You also liked the flamingos and the giraffe. While telling you and Remi about the donkeys, you surprised us and said 'don kee' for the first time. We got so excited! Then you kept saying it over and over! It was pretty cute! After the zoo, we rode the train around Leonard Park. Remi loved this! By the time we got back to the car, you were plumb tuckered out! What a fun day!

Roen's First Birthday Party will be next Saturday! It is going to be really sweet, just like him!
