I also read this book in Africa. I really liked this book. Overall, it flowed great and kept me reading through at a great pace.
This book explores the relationship between two sisters who have chosen two very different paths in life. They are both haunted by a mother who wasn't there for them and as a result, they have no relationship to speak of. When Sydney, the younger sister, finds herself in a situation that has put both her and her daughter in danger, she challenges herself to be a better mom than she had. This story unfolds easily as we witness how these two sisters are able to forgive and embrace each other.
Though this book wouldn't be on my top 20, it was still really sweet and a great read!
