After dinner the other evening, Remi came and got me and told me he had something to show me. Low and behold, he had found this little turtle again! Roen was delighted as well. In fact, he kept wanting to pick up the turtle and throw it like a ball!
We were trying to explain to Remi that some turtles would bite and that he should really be careful before picking them up. He ended up getting really upset because the thought of not being able to pick up a turtle was, apparently, the end of the world.
However, this was nothing a little pink fingernail polish couldn't solve. I explained to him that this way he would be able to recognize his turtle and know that it would not bite him. He was more than excited to paint his new 'pet'.
