Everyday...

by David Levithan

This book was really interesting. Not necessarily in a good way, but not really in a bad one either. There were several issues I had with this book. However, overall it was truely engaging. This book is certainly creative. The plot is interesting and moved along at a great pace.

This is a love story. However, I never really felt the love. Most love stories I read, I tend to 'fall' in love to. That did not happen with this book. In this way, I felt the character development lacked and to me was very disappointing. The ending was left open-ended, which normally doesn't bother me, but with this story it did.

Because this story is completely unrealistic, fantasy, I had no real way of closing the gaps at the end. I wish the author would have given a bit more.

This story covers the life of a 16 year old boy named Andrew. Everyday Andrew wakes up in someone else's body. Sometimes he is a boy, sometimes a girl, black, white, fat....everyday is different. This seemed to get weird at times considering he was in love with a girl. There are hints as to others being like him but nothing concrete. There are also hints of ways he could stay longer in bodies, but yet again, the author doesn't delve very far into this information. I think the main point of the story is to see people for who they are on the inside. Can we truly do that? As humans, I don't think that's possible. The outside always matters at least a little bit. Read it and see what you think.

Interesting and unique....will I read it again? Probably not.
