When In Doubt Add Butter...

By Beth Harbison

This was a light and fun read. It read at a great pace and was pretty entertaining. I found the characters to be likable and relateable. However, this is not a book I will most likely remember for long. I guess that's how I would describe it; an entertaining read but not memorable.

Basically, this book introduces several characters that are all clients of personal chef Gemma. She loves cooking and most of her clients. It is interesting meting the different people she cooks for and all their quirks. Gemma has all but given up on love, marriage and a family, when love falls in her lap in a most unexpected way!

The love story was cute and heart warming but I found other parts of this book to be a bit far fetched. You know when someone tries to wear a bunch of trends at once and they just end up looking silly and overdone? Well, that's how I would describe this story. Too many unbelievable elements in one book. This will probably not be an author that I follow, but overall, not a waste of time either.
