The Halloween Carnival...

This weekend, we went to the Halloween carnival at the school my mom teaches at. We were all so excited to get the kids dressed up, play games and have some Halloween fun!

However, it didn't really go as we had planned.

First of all, it was SO HOT! In fact, it was so hot we were all miserable. It didn't help that we all wore jeans for the evening chilly weather we had in mind. Second, Remi was really tired. Ever since ditching his naps, evenings are pretty tough on him. After trying out the bounce houses, we ended up going straight to the cafeteria to get some relief from the heat and while there Remi went into full on meltdown drama. Rolling around on the stools, crying and saying all he wanted to do was go home. After scarfing down my dinner, I took him out side in hopes of distracting him so that he could at least try to have some fun. The kids ended up having a lot of fun on the playground... the one part that was free that we didn't have to pay for... except that we had already paid for all the games. They played for about 30 minutes and then we headed home.

One of the best parts was getting the boys all dressed up...

I gave Remi several options for costumes this year. As soon as he saw the fireman costumes, he knew that was it! Both boys are really into firetrucks and firemen, so I decided it would be perfectly fitting to have them both be firemen.

Remi fell asleep on the way there...

And so did Mallorie. Isn't she the cutest Minnie ever!?

These boys sure do love their Anne and Cici...

This was the best I could get with the boys. As you can see we were all a bit grumpy :)

Roen almost fell asleep on the swing...

I love making memories with all of you! You certainly have two handsome firemen (love it that Roen wears his hat/helmet backwards). Miss Minnie Mouse aka Mallorie was stunning. Maybe next year we can wear shorts and freeze! Thanks for sharing....have a great day! Love you all.
