March Reads...

This month, I selected author Charlotte Bronte. Charlotte is one of the three Bronte sisters and it most famous for her classic piece of literature, Jane Eyre. She died at the young age of 38 and published 4 literary works in her very short lifetime. I chose only two of her novels. I loved them both and when you have a chance you should indulge in both!

Jane Eyre: This is the first book I read. I LOVED it! However, I want to make it know that books of this time are not quick 'chic lit' reads. They are long, luxurious reads. They are meant to be savored and each page fully studied. Jane Eyre is a classic for a reason- writing like this should always be appreciated.

Villete: This book was much longer than Jane Eyre and took me almost a full 4 weeks of reading. This was not a book I could read while the TV was on or while hanging out with the boys. It was a slow start and the writing is so intense that without the full focus of the reader it cannot be fully appreciated. I loved everything about this book... beautiful writing that is fully rewarding!

Someday....Do you prefer reading to watching tv? Just curious...when I lived in Bangkok we didn't have American tv, so I read all the time. At times I think we should all disconnect the tube and see what a difference it makes in our life. Have a great week....see you all soon. Love you!
