Remi's End of the Year Program...

Thursday was Remi's last day of school. Thursday night, he participated in his End of the Year Program. They sang songs like 'Deep in the Heart of Texas' and 'This Little Light of Mine'. To finish up the program, they each walked up on stage to receive their completion certificate. It was really sweet... and sad :(

Roen got really bored and kept telling us he was ready for it to be over. He also rolled all over the floor and chairs the entire time. I'm not gonna lie, the thought of getting to watch their program next year child-free made me smile and want to cry- because they will BOTH be participating!

My favorite part of the night...

While they were singing 'This Little Light of Mine' I saw Remi, ever so subtly, pull a 'match' out of his pocket, light his 'little light' and then put the match back in his pocket. Oh, my sweet Remi and his imagination!! I hope his adventuresome spirit always burns this bright!

This is the best picture I could get as we headed out the door

Roen, very loudly, let us know that he was hungry as soon as we got there- and continued to let us know until Micah ran to the convenient store and got him some cookies. They not only kept him relatively quite throughout the program, but also decorated the floor, chairs and his clothes :)

See his cute little diploma in his hand :)

Remi and his sweet, most patient teacher, Mrs. Luster. This woman will never know how much I appreciate her taking my 'baby' into her class, loving him, making him feel special, and most importantly creating the foundation for him to be a respectful and obedient student!

Ok..this post should have had a warning on it....tissues required!! I just can't believe how fast time has gone by. It seems like yesterday that y'all lived on Austin street and I would come and push him in the stroller around and around the block while you & Micah enjoyed your lunch. Great pictures...next best thing to being there! Love you all! Enjoy the summer.
