Remi's 5th Birthday Party....

This year, Remi picked his very own birthday theme... volcanoes and critters!! Despite the fact that these things have nothing to do with each other, I just started brainstorming and ran with it. I think it turned out pretty cute and he LOVED his party- probably his favorite to date.

It ended up being pretty hot, so most of my pictures are of sweaty kids, but they are all smiling so it's pretty cute. We started off the day letting the kids jump themselves silly in the bounce house, opened presents, ate BBQ and ended the evening with The Creature Teacher. The Creature Teacher is a sweet lady who brings critters of your choice to a location of your choice. The kids gathered 'round, listened to her talk about each creature and then got to touch it. Because Remi was the birthday boy, he got to hold each one and then at the end each child got to hold one animal. When I say Remi loved it, I mean he was in HEAVEN!! So was Roen... best present we have ever given Remi!

Here are two of his favorite presents... a bucket full of insects and a remote control tarantula (go figure!)....

Here are the 6 critters Remi chose to have The Creature Teacher bring...

Hairless Guinea Pig...

African Burrowing Bullfrog...

Giant African Millipede...

Hedgehog...

Blue Tongued Skink...

Corn Snake...

Blowing out his sparkler '5' candle...

And a few of my favorite pictures from the day...

My two my favorite girls :)

Always has Little Anne with him :)

It's fun to see this all again in pictures. It's amazing what I missed seeing in person. Lol. Remi's expressions are priceless. The Critter Lady was awesome. They all loved her & the critters. Heck, I did too. Great party...good memories.
