Trick-or-Treating...

For Halloween this year, we decided to do some just good old-fashioned trick-or-treating. We went down to the heart of Gainesville, where all the beautiful, old homes are and walked the streets.

Actually, we only went down one street and lasted about 45 minutes. It started a bit rough for Roen due to him not wanting to wear his costume and his feeling being hurt because we wanted him to. About the time he put a smile on his face, Remi decided he was too tired to trick-or-treat anymore and wanted to be carried... all 40 pounds of him in a slippery astronaut costume.... that was fun :)

It actually was really fun... expecting perfection with kids is just not realistic and sometimes you just have to look at your significant other, roll your eyes in frustration over your wild animals and count down to bedtime!

Highlight of the night was visiting the firestation...
