I found a very similar picture way back when I was 'house idea' gathering and that is how the exterior came to be. I really wanted our house to have a 'historical' feel but because we were building in an existing neighborhood that was not historical, I had to tone it down. I feel like this is a good compromise... not crazy different but enough to not feel like a cookie cutter.
The only thing I do not like about the outside is the lack of trees. We planted 5 right before me moved in and I hope to be able to add more here and there.
The Front...
The big windows up top, are the playroom windows. The window on the far left is the guest bedroom, the next over is the dinning room the far right is Roen's room and widow to the right of the front door is my library.
The Back...
(please ignore the boy's fire pit on the dinning table and the empty TV stand- that just came in and still needs to be hooked up)
